Policies for Scheduling Weddings at St. Pius V

• Parishioners of St. Pius V Church may schedule a wedding at any time. The fee for the wedding of a parishioner is $300.00, which includes a $100.00 non-refundable reservation fee.

• Non-parishioners, who have some connection to St. Pius V Church, may schedule a wedding at the discretion of the Pastor.  Examples of a connection to St. Pius V Church include, but are not limited to, children or grandchildren of parishioners, former parishioners, having been baptized at St. Pius V or having attended St. Pius V Grade School, or having parents or grandparents who were married at St. Pius V Church.  The fee for a wedding of a non-parishioner is $500.00, which includes a $200.00 non-refundable reservation fee.

• Weddings for non-parishioners who have no connection to St. Pius V Church will not be scheduled.  They are to be encouraged to contact their home parish.

• All couples wishing to be married at St. Pius V Church are to speak with the Pastor to determine their freedom to marry, even if another priest is preparing the couple or presiding at the wedding.  No date is to be considered firm until the couple has spoken with the Pastor.  At least one of the couple must be a practicing Catholic, registered in a Catholic parish.  Both parties should be free to marry in the Catholic Church.

• Weddings may be scheduled on Friday evenings, or Saturday mornings or afternoons.  Weddings are not scheduled after 1:30pm on Saturdays. 

• Weddings are discouraged during Lent and are never scheduled during the Easter Triduum.

• The Pastor may make exceptions to this policy at his discretion.
