Stewardship and Development

Stewardship & Development Commission:  Promotes the philosophy of giving back to God joyfully and thankfully by helping parishioners identify ways in which they can invest in the community by way of their time, talent and treasure.  The committee works with the pastor and Parish Council to develop the Strategic Plan for the Parish.  Meets monthly on the 3rd Thursday in the Rectory.

Annual Catholic Appeal (ACA):  This yearly Archdiocesan fundraising endeavor supports ministry and charitable works across the St. Louis area.  The St. Pius ACA committee oversees the parish's efforts to achieve its portion of the overall goal.  Contact Joe Judge (353-8678) or Ray Adkisson (773-1029).

Donut Sunday:  Coffee and donuts are served every Sunday after the 10:00 am Mass, providing an opportunity for fellowship for our parishioners and friends.  Volunteers are needed to hot this function on a Sunday morning, every few weeks.  Contact Cindy Rieck at 772-6623

Fish Fry:  This popular St. Pius tradition is both a fundraiser and community builder.  Volunteers are needed and utilized to mount  Lenten fish fries, every Friday during Lent. Volunteers are needed for food preparation on Thursdays anytime from 10:00 to 1:00 pm and Fridays for food preparation and service - 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.  Contact Kathy and Tom Donahue at 351-7506

Gardening:  volunteer gardeners are needed to tend the grounds, including all areas around Grand Blvd., Utah St. and McKean Ave., and the garden area between the school and convent. Contact Sue Clavin (664-1885), Sr. Dorothy Ann Katke (772-1525, ext. 206) and Doug Lanners (214-704-2219).

Fall Festival and BBQ:  The Fall Festival and BBQ is one of our parish's major fundraisers, offering great stewardship and fellowship opportunities.  Held on the last Saturday of September each year, it features great food, music, raffles, games and fun activities for all ages.  Contact Doug Lanners at 214-704-2219.

Tailgate Sales:  Sales are held in the spring and fall, on the church parking lot.  This mini flea market and concession stand raises funds for the parish while providing motivation to clean out your garage or basement.  Contact:  Peggy Stein (776-4033).

at 3:30 pm until 4:15 pm,
or by appointment.

8:00 am - Rectory Chapel
(entrance to the Chapel
is at the back door of the Rectory)
Holy Hour with Adoration and
Benediction of the Blessed
Sacrament is immediately
following the 8:00 am Mass
on the first Friday of each month.
