Migration Mass: “Even just one of these children”

The Gospel of Jesus calls us to participate in the mission of welcoming and caring for the most vulnerable. Taking this to heart, Pope Leo XIV invites us to celebrate the World Day of Migrants & Refugees 2026 with the theme “Even just one of these children,” reminding us of the promise of Jesus that “Whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me” (Mt. 18:5).
To honor the rich contributions of migrants to our Church, St. Pius V Parish community and the Immigrant & Refugee Ministry invite you to join the celebration of the annual Migration Mass at 10:00 am on Sunday, October 18.
This multicultural, multilingual Mass will be followed by a potluck feast featuring the dishes from the nations of origin of our community members. Please bring a dish representing your background to share. Everyone is invited to wear the traditional dress of their heritage.

Misa del Migrante: “Incluso uno solo de estos pequeños”

El evangelio de Jesucristo nos llama a participar en la misión de acoger y cuidar a los más vulnerables. Tomando esto en serio, el Papa León nos invita a celebrar la Jornada Mundial del Migrante y del Refugiado 2026 con el lema de “Incluso uno solo de estos pequeños” que nos recuerda de la promesa de Jesucristo que quien “acoge a un niño como este en mi nombre, me acoge a mí” (Mc. 9:37).
Para honrar las contribuciones ricas de los migrantes en nuestra Iglesia, la comunidad parroquial de St. Pius V les invita a acompañarnos en la celebración de la Misa del Migrante a las 10 AM, el 18 de octubre.
Después de esta misa multilingüe, multicultural, habrá un almuerzo comunal con los platos típicos de las naciones de origen de los miembros de nuestra comunidad. Favor de traer un plato representativo de tu herencia para compartir. Todos están invitados a vestirse según sus tradiciones culturales.
