Families seeking infant baptism are invited to meet with our pastor to discuss the blessing of beginning their child's faith formation. Baptism preparation meetings will review the process of the sacrament, and the role of parents and godparents in continuing faith formation.
We congratulate you on your engagement and invite future spouses to contact our parish office at least six months before your wedding date to meet with our pastor about spiritual preparation, liturgy planning, and event coordination. See the St. Pius V Marriage Guidelines.
Second graders celebrate their first reconciliation in the fall, and their first communion during the Easter season. Children are prepared for the reception of these sacraments through their classes at St. Frances Cabrini Academy, or through evening classes at the South City Deanery Parish School of Religion.
The Sacrament of Healing is offered to those who are seriously ill, anticipating surgery, or in poor health due to age or disability.
Confirmation, the Sacrament of the Holy Spirit, is celebrated every other year at one of the sponsoring parishes of St. Frances Cabrini Academy. 7th and 8th grade students are prepared for this sacrament through their classes at St. Frances Cabrini Academy, or through evening classes at the South City Deanery Parish School of Religion.
If your seeking has drawn you to the family of the Catholic Church, the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) offers prayerful accompaniment along your journey to know God and His people. Whether you seek Baptism, or have already been baptized and seek Confirmation and Holy Eucharist, you can continue to seek, grow in your faith, study scripture, and find our parish a welcoming place for your inquiry and formation.
