Dear parishioners,
We hope you will join us on Sunday, May 18, at 12:00 p.m. in Singler Hall, for a parish-wide discussion about how St. Pius V offers parishioners, staff, and guests the hospitality, safety, and welcome of a neighborhood anchor institution.Â
In the past few months, parishioners have raised concerns and questions about a number of security issues, including snow and ice removal; outdoor lighting; parking lot conditions, safety, and the break-ins that happened last June; hiring The City's Finest security company; installing security cameras; the condemned apartment building across the street; the personal safety of our immigrant neighbors; assisting unhoused neighbors who sleep on church grounds; traffic on South Grand; how we might keep the church open during the week for prayer and reflection; and the potential costs of addressing our various needs.
The goal is to hear concerns and needs, share information, and create solutions where we can.
If you have questions, please contact any member of the parish council: Maureen Fox, James Skinner, Chris Lloyd, Melody Gee, Katrina Orlet, Raymond Gouthon, Vince Estrada.
