Our parish school, St. Frances Cabrini Academy, is hosting its annual dinner and auction fundraiser on Saturday, October 10, 2026.

Cabrini is a unique school in the archdiocese, supported by six parishes, including St. Wenceslaus, St. Pius V, St. Vincent de Paul, St. Anthony of Padua, Sts. Peter and Paul, and St. Agatha. We just reached our twentieth anniversary, and our school continues to thrive. This year, a near-record 196 students began classes on August 13. We welcomed a new principal, Mrs. Kristen Shipp, as well as several new teachers and aides, including two Cabrini alumni who returned to teach second and fifth grade.

The school continues to educate our students in mind, body, and spirit.

Last year’s eighth grade graduates just began their freshman year at many area Catholic high schools, including SLU High, Bishop DuBourg, Vianney, Nerinx Hall, and Notre Dame. Meanwhile, our recent academic assessments showed our students making rapid progress, particularly in math, where our students have jumped multiple grades in a single academic year.

Our students continue to compete in athletics, including soccer, track, basketball, and volleyball. Over the last couple of years, our seventh-grade boys’ basketball team and boys’ soccer teams have won their league titles. And one of last year’s graduates won the girls’ shot-put medal at the state competition.

Most importantly, the school is fulfilling its Catholic mission. Every year, 15-20 students make their first communions, and every other year, the same number are confirmed. We’re also blessed that one or two of our students join the Church each spring. This is because of the rich Catholic religious education that all of our students receive, regardless of the religion their family practices at home.

Your parish support makes all of this possible. While all of our families contribute to their kids’ tuition, over 93% receive financial assistance. This help makes a Catholic education available for families who could not otherwise afford it.

Our annual auction is our biggest fundraiser of the year. It’s also a great opportunity to get to know the school, meet the teachers and some of the students, and catch some of Cabrini’s infectious spirit. Over 75% of ticket sales support tuition assistance.
